Prince William County Democrats

Dear Prince William County Democrats,

On Tuesday night, Virginia made history and Prince William County helped lead the way.

Thanks to the dedication, coordination, and commitment of our Magisterial District Committees, Democratic Caucuses, campaigns, precinct leaders, community partners, and countless volunteers, we helped elect Abigail Spanberger as our next Governor, Ghazala Hashmi as Lieutenant Governor, and Jay Jones as Attorney General. We also expanded our Democratic majority in the House of Delegates to 64 seats! This is a defining victory for the future of our Commonwealth.

Two Key Wins for Democrats in Prince William County

This election marked a meaningful shift in Prince William County’s political landscape. Thanks to deep organizing, coalition-building, and persistent voter engagement, we helped deliver two important Democratic victories:

• House District 22 — Delegate Elizabeth Guzman (a newly reclaimed seat)
• Gainesville District Supervisor — George T. Stewart (a historic Democratic flip)

Our victories reflect years of relationship-building, voter education, and community engagement, paired with strong, consistent exposure to our Democratic candidates. They also underscore how deeply Prince William County voters are rejecting policies that hurt Northern Virginians and embracing leaders who share their values. This success shows what’s possible when we invest in our communities and stay connected to the people we serve.

Our Delegation to Richmond

This January, Prince William County will send a strong, diverse, and energized Democratic delegation to Richmond. With many years of experience between them they will be ready to deliver for our communities and keep Virginia moving forward.

Our newly elected team includes:

  • Delegate Luke Torian
  • Delegate Briana Sewell
  • Delegate Candi Mundon King
  • Delegate Michelle Maldonado
  • Delegate Josh Thomas
  • Delegate Rozia Henson
  • Delegate Elizabeth Guzman, returning to Richmond to represent the newly flipped House District 22

Together, this delegation embodies the progress, values, and determination of Prince William County. With their leadership, we’re building a brighter, fairer, and more inclusive future for every Virginian.

Building on Our Momentum

Our work doesn’t stop with Election Day. Each of us must remain committed to strengthening voter education, deepening community relationships, and ensuring that our neighbors continue to see and hear from Democratic leaders year-round. We need to increase our committee membership and build a bench of potential candidates for future leadership. By investing in consistent outreach and empowering local voices, we will keep building the trust and participation that drives lasting change in Prince William County and across Virginia. One Team One Fight!

With gratitude,

Samuel Chisolm, Jr.

Chairman, Prince William County Democratic Committee
