DUMFRIES, VA – The Potomac Magisterial District of the Prince William County Democratic Committee announces its endorsements for the 2026 Town of Dumfries municipal elections. Following a Question and Answer Discussion at the recent Potomac Magisterial District meeting and a vote by the committee membership, the following candidates have been selected.

The Potomac Magisterial District Democratic Committee endorses Mayor Derrick Wood for re-election in the Town of Dumfries 2026 Mayoral Election. Mayor Wood is the current offi ceholder for this position.

For the 2026 Town Council Election, the Committee endorses three candidates:
● Councilwoman Selonia Miles
● Councilwoman Caetrina Peterson
● Tyron Brown
