PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA. On Monday February 9th, 2026, The Prince William County
Democratic Committee announced the results of their caucus for the upcoming special election
for the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, Woodbridge District. Muhammed S. “Sef”
Casim received 291 votes of the 549 ballots cast, and Pamela G. Montgomery received 258
votes. With a margin of 53%, Muhammed “Sef” Casim is officially the Democratic Nominee for
the special election for the Woodbridge District.
Chair Samuel Chisolm Jr. made the following statement. “We appreciate the public’s patience as
we confirmed the final results of this caucus. After a complete review of the voter check-in
records late Saturday into early Sunday, as well as all provisional ballots on Monday, we were
able to confirm Sef as an unambiguous winner of the caucus. I congratulate him and look
forward to working to ensure he is the next Supervisor for the Woodbridge District. Sef’s
candidacy is historic, and our committee will engage voters to elect him as the first Muslim to be
elected to the Prince William County Board of Supervisors.”
The Special Election will be March 10th, 2026. Early voting begins on February 28th, 2026.
