DESCRIPTION:Citizens Comment Time\nAdditional Information: Click Here \nIndividuals are invited to attend and become informed about the operation of Prince William County Public Schools\, or address the Board during Citizens Comment Time. During the school closure\, please check the meeting announcement for specific links and instructions on signing up for Citizens Comment Time. \nNOTE: Effective February 17\, 2021 the Board will return to its earlier practice of limiting the initial citizen comment period to 30 minutes\, allowing any additional speakers to provide their comments at the end of the meeting. \nAll speakers must provide the School Board Clerk with their address and phone number in order to verify their residency and permit the Clerk to contact them if necessary. Upon request\, the Clerk will not release to the general public the address and phone number of the speaker. However\, such information may be requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Speakers must also identify the issue of public concern upon which they will be speaking. (View Policy 134) \nSpecial meetings or work sessions are called when necessary to conduct school business and are announced in advance on the School Division’s website and through local news media. \nAll School Board meetings\, except closed sessions\, are open to the public. \nClosed sessions are held prior to the public meetings at 6 p.m. and are not open to the public. Items discussed in closed sessions are confined by law to personnel\, student matters\, acquisitions/disposition of real property\, legal\, and other specific matters exempted from open sessions under Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act. \nWhile some Board members are expected to physically assemble in the School Board meeting room for the public session\, due to the ongoing pandemic\, other members of the School Board may participate in the meeting through electronic means during the State of Emergency as permitted by law. DESCRIPTION:Written By: Virginia Young Dems\n\n \n\nVAYD 2022 Convention Committee Interest Form\n\n \n\nPursuant to Article VII\, Section 5 of the VAYD Constitution\, the President must nominate members of various convention committees. A short overview of each committee’s responsibilities is below.\n\n \n\nIn order to be nominated to serve on a committee\, individuals must be a member in good standing of a chartered chapter of the Virginia Young Democrats. Members of each committee will be expected to participate in meetings leading up to and during the 2022 VAYD convention.\n\n \n\nRules: Determines the rules governing the process of the convention\, including but not limited to the process for filing as candidates; the process for voting; the agenda and order of proceedings\, etc.\n\n \n\nResolutions: Considers and recommends resolutions as submitted to VAYD for the convention\n\n \n\nCredentials: Reviews and approves the annual charters of each YD chapter; verifies membership lists; verifies delegate registration; works with chapters to revise and resubmit chartering materials as needed.\n\n \n\nAwards: Considers and votes upon annual awards for both chapters and individual members.\n\n \n\nPlease send any questions to Maureen Coffey\, president@vayd.org

DESCRIPTION:Citizens Comment Time\nAdditional Information: Click Here \nIndividuals are invited to attend and become informed about the operation of Prince William County Public Schools\, or address the Board during Citizens Comment Time. During the school closure\, please check the meeting announcement for specific links and instructions on signing up for Citizens Comment Time. \nNOTE: Effective February 17\, 2021 the Board will return to its earlier practice of limiting the initial citizen comment period to 30 minutes\, allowing any additional speakers to provide their comments at the end of the meeting. \nAll speakers must provide the School Board Clerk with their address and phone number in order to verify their residency and permit the Clerk to contact them if necessary. Upon request\, the Clerk will not release to the general public the address and phone number of the speaker. However\, such information may be requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Speakers must also identify the issue of public concern upon which they will be speaking. (View Policy 134) \nSpecial meetings or work sessions are called when necessary to conduct school business and are announced in advance on the School Division’s website and through local news media. \nAll School Board meetings\, except closed sessions\, are open to the public. \nClosed sessions are held prior to the public meetings at 6 p.m. and are not open to the public. Items discussed in closed sessions are confined by law to personnel\, student matters\, acquisitions/disposition of real property\, legal\, and other specific matters exempted from open sessions under Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act. \nWhile some Board members are expected to physically assemble in the School Board meeting room for the public session\, due to the ongoing pandemic\, other members of the School Board may participate in the meeting through electronic means during the State of Emergency as permitted by law. School Board Agendas are available online in advance of meetings. Agenda items and materials are subject to change up to the time of the meeting. \nMeetings are broadcast live on PWCS-TV (Comcast Channel 18 and Verizon FiOS Channel 36) and can also be viewed live online on the PWCS-TV website. Archived meetings are online on YouTube and online at the PWCS-TV Video On Demand website. \nIf you would like to sign up to speak either in person or electronically at the meeting please use the online citizen comment form to be placed on the list to speak. Please provide your address and telephone number for the record. Citizens who wish to speak in person or electronically must sign up with the Clerk by 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Those wishing to speak electronically will be provided with a link to register to do so. \nThose who do not wish to speak to the Board in person or electronically\, but wish to submit a written public statement about the agenda topics\, may provide input to the School Board by accessing the Public Comment Form or by sending an email to the Board.
