SUMMARY:School Board Special Meeting – Superintendent’s Goal Setting Conference
DESCRIPTION:Information And Links\nRegular School Board meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month during the school year. Meetings are open to the public and begin at 7 p.m. at the Edward L. Kelly Leadership Center\, 14715 Bristow Rd.\, Manassas\, VA 20112. Board members and staff have dinner at 5 p.m. and hold a closed session at 6 p.m. before the public meeting. There is Citizen Comment Period during regular Board meetings. School Board agendas are available online in advance of meetings. Agenda items and materials are subject to change up to the time of the meeting. \nSpecial meetings\, work sessions\, and public hearings are scheduled when necessary to conduct school business and are announced in advance on the school division’s website and through local news media. There is no Citizen Comment Period during special meetings or work sessions. \nClosed sessions are held before regular public meetings at 6 p.m. and are not open to the public. Items discussed in closed sessions are confined by law to personnel\, student matters\, acquisitions/disposition of real property\, legal\, and other specific matters exempted from open session under Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act. \nPursuant to School Board Policy 139\, “School Board Member Participation in Meetings by Electronic Communication\,” one or more School Board Member(s) may participate in closed or public meetings through electronic means on a limited basis. \nMeetings are broadcast live on PWCS-TV (Comcast channel 18 and Verizon Fios channel 36) and can also be viewed live online on the PWCS-TV website. Archived meetings are online on YouTube and online at the PWCS-TV website. \nPrince William County citizens\, and PWCS employees\, parents/guardians\, students\, and owners or employees of businesses or other organizations with a mailing address in Prince William County who wish to address the Prince William County School Board\, may request to be placed on the list of speakers for the citizen comment using the Citizen Comment Time Form starting at 8 a.m. on the Saturday immediately preceding the School Board meeting at which the citizen wishes to speak. Citizens who do not have access to the internet may contact the Clerk directly at 703-791-8069 prior to noon on the day of the Board meeting. You will be asked to provide your address and telephone number for the record and whether you would like your personal contact information to remain confidential. Citizen Comment Time is limited to one hour for speakers to present comments on agenda items or other topics germane to the operations and policies of PWCS. \nAlternatives to addressing the Board during Citizen Comment Time are also available via the following: \n\nBy accessing the Public Comment Form at Public Comment Form;\nBy mail to the School Board Office\, P.O. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Haymarket Day! We’re looking for volunteers to walk in the parade with PWCDC and others to manage our booth\, engaging with attendees throughout the event. Sign up for the volunteer slots.  \nPARADE INFO & BOOTH INFO\n> The parade will start at 10:00am. Participants need to arrive between 9am – 9:30am.\n> The parade particpants will gather at the QBE Parking Lot: 14600 Washtington Street.\n> The parade will end at Jefferson Street this year.\n> Parade particpants may park at the commuter lot OR Pace/Tyler Elementary and take the free shuttle.\n> We are #35 in the line up – find us near the end of the parade line up.  \nBooth Location & INFO\nWe are in Section A at Booth 170.\nOur booth is located Section A between Coach Way and Greenhill Crossing Drive. \nParking and free shuttle bus service INFO\nThere are several parking options \n\nHaymarket Baptist Church\nOld BB&T Lot (current dentist office) at 14902 Washington Street\nVDOT Commuter Lot off Heathcote Blvd – Free Shuttle Provided\nTyler Elementary and PACE West – Free Shuttle Provided\nHaymarket Elementary – Free Shuttle Provided
